A NOTE TO MYSELF

This film is essentially a figment from a young boy’s mind. It focuses on the fear of clothes – Vestiphobia. It is a conversation with himself, that depicts how his phobia leads to fashion issues like identity crisis by associating clothes to societal expectations.

Although clothes are mainly a form of protection, they are often associated with certain expectations from the society. Shantanu is disturbed by these notions that he has faced since an early childhood, wherein he was always picked for his choice of looks. The film is his journey from facing these intense comments, to finding solace in non-living objects like dolls, and finally realizing that he feared clothes to a level where his mental state is compromised.

This film is a peak into the mind of a person who has suppressed his identity because of societal norms, and his journey of accepting and acknowledging his true self.
